About Craftsman & Owner, Howard Hatch
Howard Hatch, an avid pool player and an award-winning furniture designer, received his design degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. Hatch, who has been creating residential and institutional furniture for over 30 years, launched Hatch Billiards in 1999 after he was commissioned to create a custom pool table for a client. Today, Hatch's hand-crafted pool tables appeal to the collector of fine craft and art, as well as pool/billiards aficionados from around the country.

Hatch Billiards, located in Brunswick, ME, produces handcrafted, custom-made pool tables, billiards furniture and accessories for the discriminating pool player. Hatch Billiards pool tables -- made from carefully-selected woods and styled with inlays of wood veneer, mother-of-pearl, and metals -- start at $18,500. The tables are not only artistically crafted but are designed to withstand the rigors of pool playing. The rails are made from rosewood - an exceptionally beautiful wood that is also stain, burn and dent-resistant. Structural elements of each pool table are three to four inches thick and joined with hand-cut joinery and sturdy hardware.

Clients can purchase a table from Hatch Billiard's current portfolio of designs (portfolio online at www.HatchBilliards.com), or work with the company to create a custom-made table based on the client's specifications. Entire gaming rooms - including chairs, tables, cue racks and cabinetry - are also available or can be custom-designed.

Each completed pool table is personally delivered to the client by the owner, Howard Hatch.
